A Family Company That Really Just Loves Socks

Crescent Sock Company started in 1902 when a group of neighbors in Niota, Tennessee met at the train depot to figure out how to bring jobs to their town. They landed on a hosiery mill and named it after the train route running through. We are still here, still in Niota, still the oldest continually operating hosiery mill in the country.

Today the company is run by the founder's great-granddaughters, and we are proud to be a fourth-generation, family-owned, WBENC-certified woman-owned business. Some of our employees work alongside their parents, grandparents, and cousins. One of them has been with us for over 50 years. There is more on all of it in our story.

Our community rebuilt this mill alongside us after a fire in 1966, and we never missed a shipment. That is the kind of place this is.
